Hot Tubs Surrey - Langley Hot Tub Sealed Base ConsiderationsThe hot tub base is one of the less glamorous yet very important considerations when buying a new hot tub. Sealed-base hot tubs are meant to keep out moisture, rodents and insects but some manufacturers use soft chewy plastic and/or, thin-gauge sheets which are easily gnawed through by unwelcome creatures.

A sealed base hot tub doesn’t necessarily keep out rodents because they don’t typically chew through the floor – they usually get in through the gaps between the frame and the skirting.  Some brands are way better at keeping out rodents than others.

Tips:

-Ask to physically see how their hot tubs are insulated.

-Study their covers to see how thick they are and how airtight they are (especially at the gap between the seams) with the lid closed.
