Buying A New Hot Tub Tips Insulation Considerations And Concerns
We live in Canada, eh?

Hot tub retailers have a heyday comparing their insulation with their competitors.  It’s much ado about nothing in most cases.

You certainly want to avoid poorly-insulated hot tubs but the truth is for south-western BC weather, the difference between one appropriately insulated brand and another will not make a big difference. Other things such as the cover (see #17), efficiency of pumps, plumbing, outside temperature, exposure to wind and frequency of use make WAAAY more of difference than what kind of insulation your hot tub uses.

 Tips:

-Ask to physically see how their hot tubs are insulated.

-Study their covers to see how thick they are and how airtight they are (especially at the gap between the seams) with the lid closed.
