Background Reading: 4-N: Unique/Proprietary/New Concepts

Tips: 

-Ask if there’s anything totally unique about this particular brand/model.
-Ask if they use the same electronics and pumps as their competitors, or if they’re different.
-Ask how long they’ve made that particular model (has it stood the test of time?)
-Ask if they can still get parts for their earliest models.
-Keep in mind that parts may be harder to get and cost more if they are proprietary.
-Also, keep in mind that it may be harder to find technicians willing to work on unique or obscure brands.
