Bright & shiny may be an unwise choice for a hot tub

Generally speaking, lower quality tubs rely disproportionately on aesthetic appeal to grab attention, loaded with lights, waterfalls, chrome accents and pretty cushions. Conversely, the more distinguished brands typically come standard as more understated, with the option to add bling if desired.

Think of a hot tub as a long-term relationship, not a one-night stand. It’s best to choose something less frivolous that will treat you right and age well, as opposed to something fun and playful that looks hot now but might lead to regret after the honeymoon (
